Howdy do dee bloggy... So it's like 3 am DXB time and I just got off from sleeping on the couch while watching one of my favourite movies Speed. I just loved the chemistry Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves shared in the movie. But yea.. I fell asleep. I think 2 movies back to back was just a little too much to handle. Watched Changeling before that... Really good movie... Awesome acting by the little boy Sanford I think... Power seh!
Why am I even typing this? I have tonnes of things to worry about but I just thought I'd reminise (spelling check!) a bit. 3 years in Dubai this coming May 24th, had just signed a contract and impending another promotion, insyaallah in 3 months time. Was having a blast the past 5-6 months in First Class but needed a change. Yes, I am so blessed to be upgrading at this economic climate. Not that I'm complaining it's just too huge a step... I'm hoping to come out changed not have people wonder why I'm doing the job when I'm totally unfit for it. This is my challenge to myself.
Life in the friends zone. Dubai certainly has changed a lot for me. There are days I just wish I could be a hermit again... Especially as the 26th draws near cos my bank account will be running low. But I have really good friends here and totally not complaining about it. Friends in SG, hmm... It's getting hard to keep the dynamics of the fab trio of Az, nat and I but insyaallah we won't lose touch. I miss them dearly with Nat being in Sydney and all but true friendship will take on any test. Izad is in a relationship so he's in cloud 9, not to be touched till 3 months... Really happy for him, cos he's been searching a long time and he has finally found the girl. Admire him for doing that. He knows what he wants and he goes for it. As for Hanif, as quirky as he is, I still love him as much! So indecisive about love yet so certain about life. Although his life plans took a little shake cos of the economic climate but he'll pull through, he always does.
Adib and I are going strong, days when I wonder why try and somedays are just too amazing to let go. It's the same with all relationships that has lasted this long. He is now doing what he loves and accepts me for doing what I want to do. The relationship has gone to a new level with a goal for us. Insyaallah. Home front, I'm happy to announce: IRFAN IS GRADUATING!!!!! So proud of my brother, we know it's been quite a tough journey for him. Although it took a long time, everyone says nice and slow wins the race. He won the race and the whole family is just ecstatic. Parents are wonderful and Imran is just Imran lah.
As many things progress, there are somethings that took a turn to the worse. Friendships were made fast and quickly it broke down. The year 2008 has been memorable and a lot learning had to be done. Lost some friends just cos things are not going the right way and that caused the wound to get worse and worst.Yet it's life. Would give anything to have the way things were. To most of my friends, I miss you and I'm sorry I haven't been there for your big ceremonies and events but keep me in the loop, I love sharing your joy and sadness. For those who thought they lost me thru whatever circumstances, I'm still here...
