Rory and Lorelai Gilmore

I started watching Gilmore Girls since I was in Secondary School and it really is one of my most favourite shows in the world. It's influenced me so much that I'm dead set on having a daughter as my first child. So whoever my husband will be, dun bug me for a first son, you won't get it! The show has a great place in my heart cos my mum and I are kinda close like the both of them. We talk about almost everything under the sun. I keep telling my mum, "Kita kan macam Gilmore Girls!" My mum loves the show too... Besides the mother daughter bond that fascinates me, it's the whole small town thing that is really hilarious. All their little antics and traditions that are such a treat to watch. They dance marathons that go on for hours with the champion (Kirk) dancing around to theme of Rocky, the Little dance items that Miss Patty puts up, the event where ladies had to cook something and their suitors had to bid on them... It's so interesting to watch... Rory is a very smart girl and she made the most awesome speeches when she graduated from high school that can make anybody cry. The look she gave her Lorelai when she graduated from Yale. Gosh, I really want to have that with my daughter. Insyaallah! But all good things must come to an end and this great series finished May of this year and I just watched the last episode today. It left me in tears because I grew up with the two coffee addicts Rory and Lorelai. In the finale, Rory leaves for a dream job and it kinda reminded of me leaving Singapore for Dubai. She said to her best friend Lane, "I'm worried about my mum. What kinda reporter worries about their mum?" So i guess what kinda 22 year old cabin crew worries about her mum. I'm sure everyone here does. I'm sad it ended it was a great show for all the daughters and mothers who have awesome relationships. If you have the time, guy or girl, watch this series... You'll love it! To my mummy... I miss you, Mama!
